In an interview with Hindustan Times, 'Bauua Singh' in real life shared his feeling after years of receiving sarcasm for his height.

Shahrukh Khan’s film Zero was one of the most awaited films of 2018 but when it finally hit the cinema, there were mixed reviews from the audience and average collection in the box office. Nevertheless, The cast of the film, Shahrukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, Anushka Sharma still received commendation for their performance.

In particular, Shahrukh Khan’s character, Bauua Singh was the most unique figure. He is a dwarf who has difficulty in finding life partner due to his short height. Playing the body doubles for King Khan’s character was Ashish Singh who opened up about his life in a recent interview with media recently.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Ashish Singh shared his feeling after years of receiving sarcasm for his height.

Ashish comes from Kannauj and previously worked on a few Bhojpuri project. Earlier, in an event in Delhi, Zero’s director Anand L.rai attract his notice. And after a few auditions with the film’s crew, he was finalized for the role. Talking about his chance to work on Zero, he shared:


After the brilliant opportunity to work in the blockbuster, Ashish thanks director Anand and Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan for the change. Also in his statement, he proudly said: “Now, I am ready to use my short height to reach greater heights."
