Overtakes Anushka Shetty, Pooja Hegde Officially Becomes The Highest-Paid Actress In Tollywood

It goes without saying that Pooja Hegde is one of the biggest stars in Tollywood. She is also one of a few actors from the South who made it big in Bollywood. Pooja is loved for not only her top-notch performance in each of her films but also her down-to-earth manner in real life, great sense of fashion, and many others. Recently, the actress added another feather into her cap as she officially topped the list of highest-paid actresses in Tollywood.

The actress has recently made a sharp jump in her pay package. According to reports, the Tollywood producers’ guild has reached an agreement where they decided to request the actors to cut 20 percent in their remuneration because of the setback in the film business after the Coronavirus pandemic. However, Pooja Hegde is still very much in demand.

After cutting in her paycheck, the actress would bring home 2.5 crores for signing her new projects and we can’t wait to see her in the upcoming movies.

The fact is that she has already surpassed the former topper Anushka Shetty who was previously the highest-paid actress in Tollywood with around Rs 2 crores.

Pooja reportedly got paid Rs 2 crore for her role in the Allu Arjun-starrer movie Ali Vaikunthapurramloo. It’s not far off the mark to say she deserves that number as the film broke many box office records to become one of the biggest blockbusters in South Indian cinema.

On the work front, she is starring opposite superstar Prabhas in the film Radhe Shyam. Pooja also has two more big Bollywood projects lined up in her kitty. Stay tuned!
