Diljit Dosanjh To Romance Yami Gautam In A Romcom

Diljit Dosanjh is slowly but steadily busy creating his own niche in the Hindi film industry. He made his acting debut in Bollywood with Abhishek Chaubey’s hard-hitting drug drama Udta Punjab (2016) and has starred in a few more notable films ever since.

Currently busy promoting his upcoming Hindi release Arjun Patiala with Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh has been reportedly signed on to headline a romantic comedy. As for the female lead, we hear that Yami Gautam has come onboard.

Yami Gautam, who plunged into Hindi cinema with the critically and commercially successful film Vicky Donor (2012) after having a successful career in modeling, was most recently seen in war drama Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), also starring Vicky Kaushal.

Now she has joined the cast of the said romantic film to romance Diljit Dosanjh. This is the first time that the two have been roped in opposite each other.

Though nothing much is known about the upcoming project at the moment, we hear that it will be shot in Delhi. A source close to the development reveals to an Indian daily that Yami Gautam and Diljit Dosanjh will head off to the national capital soon to begin the first schedule of the film. The untitled movie is set to go on floors by the first week of August.

Yami Gautam, who is currently shooting for Amar Kaushik’s Bala with Ayushmann Khurrana and Bhumi Pednekar, is psyched up about joining forces with the makers of the romantic comedy. Diljit Dosanjh will next be seen in Dharma Productions’ Good News after the release of Arjun Patiala.
