Anushka Sharma To Make A Debut With Tamil Remake Of "Pari"?

Bollywood actresses prefer the Indian regional film industry nowadays. Shraddha Kapoor has signed Saaho, Alia Bhatt will be seen in the Rajamouli's upcoming project RRR, Kangana Ranaut is working for a biopic of Jayalalitha, and now Anushka Sharma.

Anushka will be seen in Tamil remake of Pari who acted in the original horror film Pari. There are no official statements have been made about the plans, but according to a Tamil website, the makers of Tamil version Pari are all set to approach the actress.

The original Hindi language Pari was released in 2018. The debutant director Prosit Roy directed the film while Parambrata Chatterjee, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Rajat Kapoor, and Mansi Multani were in the supporting star cast. Production of the film began in June 2017, and it released theatrically on 2 March 2018.

Anushka played the character of Rukhsana in the film, a daughter of a Bangladeshi woman who was a victim of a ritual by Auladhchakra. She is afraid of incense sticks, religious hymns, and prayers.

Anushka said to the DNA about her film Pari: “I know the film didn't do those mad numbers, but I think it did a lot more than that in terms that people spoke about how it was a genre-redefining film. I think it always helps when an actor who is known for doing mainstream films supports a film and a genre like this. It really opened up an avenue for more of these films."

Anushka Sharma started her career with Band Baja Baarat. NH10, Sanju, and Jab Takk Hai Jaan were her some of the best movies. Being one of the most popular and highest-paid actresses in India, she has received several awards, including a Filmfare Award and was featured by Forbes Asia in their 30 Under 30 list of 2018.

Recently, the actress was in the controversy for her pregnancy rumors. However, later it came to light the Zero actress had visited the clinic for a regular checkup, and there was nothing related to her pregnancy.
