Akhil Akkineni, the son of renowned actors Akkineni Nagarjuna and Amala, is trying to make a mark for himself in the Telugu film industry slowly and steadily. Though his debut film Akhil (2015) did not weave any magic at the box-office, the majority of the audience praised his efforts for playing a dual role in the very first outing of his career.
Akhil Akkineni was most recently seen in romantic comedy-drama Mr. Majnu (2019) opposite hot and bold Nidhhi Agerwal. The film did moderate business at the box-office and now people are looking forward to his next projects.
The latest we have learned that Akhil Akkineni has reportedly teamed up with actress Nivetha Pethuraj for his upcoming film. The yet-to-be-titled flick will feature both the actors in lead roles.
Though nothing much is known about the project at the moment, some insiders reveal that the makers are gearing up to officially launch it in the third week of July. Bommarillu Bhaskar has been signed on to call the shots for the film. Right after its launch, the film will begin its first schedule. Allu Aravind and Bunny Vasu will jointly finance the project.
Talking about Nivetha Pethuraj, the actress was last seen in Telugu black-comedy Brochevarevarura (2019), where audiences lauded her for her excellent performance in the role of an actress. She has a number of interesting projects in her pocket at the moment.
The actress is presently shooting for a film with Allu Arjun and Trivikram Srinivas. If reports are to be believed, she is also in talks to play the lead heroine opposite Raj Tarun in Baahubali star Rana Daggubati’s maiden venture to be helmed by Annish Krishna.
