Aishwarya Rajesh Walks Out Of Kamal Haasan’s “Indian 2”

Popular actress Aishwarya Rajesh has reportedly opted out of the much-awaited Tamil film Indian 2. As the title suggests itself, Indian 2 is a sequel to the National Award-winning vigilante action film Indian (1996), starring megastar Kamal Haasan, Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar in lead roles. Kamal Haasan has returned to reprise his role in the sequel as well.

Initially, it was announced that Aishwarya Rajesh has been roped into essay a pivotal part in Indian 2. However, if the latest reports are to be believed, the talented actress has walked out of the project. Though there is no official word on what led her to exit the project at the last minute, some media outlets report that Aishwarya Rajesh had to quit due to her other commitments and busy schedule.

As far as her replacement is concerned, no one else has been roped in so far. Besides Aishwarya Rajesh, Indian 2 also starred Kajal Agarwal who is also said to be playing the female lead. Rakul Preet Singh and Priya Bhavani Shankar have also joined the cast to play significant roles in the hugely anticipated film. With Aishwarya Rajesh bidding adieu to the film at the last minute, the makers will now have to find a suitable replacement soon.

Talking about the rest of the male star cast, Indian 2 also features Siddharth, Samuthirakani, Vidyut Jammwal and Vivekh. Anirudh has composed the music for the film while the camera work is by R. Rathnavelu.

Though Aishwarya Rajesh has opted out of an important film, she has several other important films in the pipeline including Vaanam Kottatum produced by Mani Ratnam, Nama Veetu Pillai with Sivakarthikeyan, Vada Chennai-2 and a movie with Vijay Sethupathi titled Ka Pae Ranasingam.
