EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Nora Fatehi Breaks Internet With "O Saki Saki" With 20 Million Views In A Day

Nora Fatehi is currently on cloud nine with her new dance number for Batla House O Saki Saki crossing 20 million views on YouTube in a single day.

The original song from Sanjay Dutt's film Musafir had Koena Mitra grooving on the number. The song has been remade keeping in mind the character of Nora Fatehi in the film.

She has given back to back superhit dance numbers like Dilbar, Kamariya and Raftaar's Baby Marvaake Maanegi. She discusses the excitement while shooting for her debut film in an exclusive interview with STARBIZ correspondent Imran Fazal. Excerpts...

Finally, your acting debut is all set with the release of Batla House. How was the experience to work with no nonsense man John Abraham?

It was fantastic. Finally, I got an opportunity to act with this film. It is always a good feeling when your first film is set for a release. It is like butterflies in your tummy which creates more anxiety.

I am very excited and my role in this film is very good and working with John Abraham has always been fun. Very professional approach, be it a small sequence or a big important one. Everything is treated with the same approach.

Your dance number O Saki Saki has been widely applauded over the internet, was it difficult to beat the original version?

I had to undergo training for the fire fans. It was for three days that I learned to use the props. It is extremely challenging to use such props especially when you have to perform on the sets. All the safety measures were kept ready in case of any mishap. I must say, the song has received so much love from the fans.

Before saying yes for the number I had visually tried to match up with the song to give an extra notch of performance.

With back to back breathtaking performances in dance numbers, what else is Nora Fatehi looking forward for? 

My dance numbers Kamariya and Dilbar gained wide appreciation. Now it is O Saki Saki, I look and choose my projects keeping in mind about the limitations and liking of the audience. I am looking forward to new projects which are being discussed and will be announced soon.

It's always fun to work and learn new things. The art form I am in love with and fans continue to praise my work. I am lucky that I have got a talent which makes me passionate about my work.

What are the new milestones have you set in your life. Dance numbers, films or web series for a change? 

I have always been open to new challenges in life. As I said earlier, acting and dancing are art forms which makes me passionate. The more I work, I get to learn new things. Web series is the new trend in the industry.

If I get a chance to work in a web series, why not. I will do it with the same interest. The role has to be interesting which suits me and the story should be challenging enough for me to portray it.
