The 2019 Billboard Music Awards will be held at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Wednesday 1st May at 8 p.m ET. This means that we will be seeing the show taking place on the early morning of Thursday 2th May at around 5:30 a.m local time. So, mark it in your calendar to follow the show right when it starts!

How to watch the ceremony live?

The three-hour award show will be broadcast live on NBC channel at 8 p.m. (around 5.30 a.m local time). Also, you can also watch the show by directly going to nbc.com/live. However, you will have to input your cable provider's login information for official access.

Who are the performers and presenters?

Taylor Swift will be opening the 2019 Billboard Music Awards with a performance of her new single ME! featuring Panic! at the Disco’s Brendon Urie. Additionally, other artists are also gearing up to hit the stage such as the Jonas Brothers, host Kelly Clarkson, Madonna, Khalid, Dan + Shay with Tori Kelly, Korean boyband BTS with Halsey, Paula Abdul, Maluma and Mariah Carey, who will be receiving the Billboard Icon Award.

Last year, performers were Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, Demi Lovato, Ariana Grande, Dua Lipa, Christina Aguilera, Normani, Salt-N-Pepa (with En Vogue) and the one and only Janet Jackson, who walked away with the Icon Award. And the top winners at the 2018 awards show were Taylor Swift for Top Female Artist, Camila Cabello for Billboard Chart Achievement Award, Khalid for Top New Artist and Ed Sheeran for Top Artist.

Who are the nominees?

Cardi B is leading the night with 21 nominations in 18 categories. The I Like It rapper is followed by Post Malone and Drake with 17 nominations, Travis Scott and XXXTentacion with 12 and 10 nominations, respectively.

A Star Is Born’s Bradley Cooper, and Lady Gaga garnered three nominations for hit number Shallow including Top-Selling Song, Top Soundtrack, and Chart Achievement Award. Also, Lady Gaga is nominated separately for Top Song Sales Artist.
