Ariana canceled completely when the producers insisted on choosing the second song that she would play.

As per a close source, because of a disagreement with producers of Grammys over which songs would be performed, Ariana Grande won’t play at the Grammy Awards ceremony on Feb 10. Though, the singer has appeared on billboards for the sake of the show’s promotion across Los Angeles.

Sources tell Variety that the star felt “insulted” when Grammys producers refused to allow her song 7 rings to be performed initially, which is the latest release from her upcoming album Thank U, Next. The fact is that after coming to a compromise whereby her song 7 Rings will be a part of a medley. However, Ariana cancelled entirely when the producers insisted on choosing the second song that she would play. The source also added that the stipulations weren’t dropped on other performers.

For the unversed, Ariana Grande is nominated in two main Grammy categories, comprising of Best Pop Vocal Performance for God is a Woman along with Best Pop Vocal Album for Sweetener.

However, it’s not the first story occurring on the eve of Grammys as it is similar to that of singer Lorde last year when she also pulled out of performing at the show after the producers didn’t allow her to perform a song from her album Melodrama.

Speaking of her new song 7 RingsGrande has recently come under fire for plagiarising Princess Nokia’s vibe, and the star was facing backlash over the post-and-delete post on Instagram.
