Ariana Grande is the second act to monopolize the entire top three during a week in the 60-year history of Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Singer Ariana Grande has become the first artist whose songs rank at Nos. 1, 2 and 3 simultaneously on the Billboard Hot 100 songs since The Beatles’ heyday in 1964 and her latest album Thank U, Next hits the No.1 spot on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

FYI, the song 7 Rings spends a fourth week atop the Hot 100 while Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored heads for No. 2 debut and Thank U, Next rebounds 7-3 after spending 7 weeks at No. 1. Interestingly, all three songs come from the same album, Thank U, Next, which was launched on Republic Records.

Ariana Grande is the second act to monopolize the entire top three during a week in the 60-year history of Billboard Hot 100 chart. The Beatles was the first one earning this honour for even five weeks in March and April of the year 1964 with Can't Buy Me Love, Twist and Shout and Do You Want To Know A Secret, and also winning the top five (dated 4 April 1964).

For the unversed, between the triumphs of The Beatles and Ariana, Drake also came closest to the milestone, holding Nos. 1, 2 and 4 spots on the Hot 100 on the 14 July 2018-dated chart, with the songs Nice for WhatNonstop and God’s Plan, respectively.

Unfortunately for Ariana’s fans who kicked-off the #boycott7rings campaign last week to boost Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I’m Bored to the No.1 spot, though this viral movement wasn’t strong enough to knock 7 Rings out of the top.

The star took to social media to express her surprise by tweeting, "wait what...what the (expletive) is going on."
