27-Year-Old Selena Gomez Announces She Will Retire From Music Soon

American singer Selena Gomez recently made headlines because of her surprising statement about her singing career. She announced that she might leave the recording studio in the near future.

The reason behind this decision

Her music has changed over the years and she also talked about her frustration over the music career.

In a recent interview with Vogue, the pop singer, producer, actress, and activist said,

"It’s hard to keep doing music when people don’t necessarily take you seriously. I’ve had moments where I’ve been like, 'What’s the point? Why do I keep doing this?'”

She continued to talk about the reactions of the netizens over the song Lose You To Love Me. Selena can’t hide her disappointment as she said it was the best song she has ever released. However, it wasn’t enough for some people.

The singer also expressed her thankfulness for those who enjoy and love her music. That’s why she promised the release of an album that will be different. Selena Gomez also added about her retirement plan in which she said,

"I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music.”

In fact, Selena is all set to launch her very first Spanish-language Extended Playlist, Revelación on 12 March 2021.

Acting career

It seems like she is shifting her career focus from singing to producing and acting.

Speculations are rife that we will see the image of Selena as an actress more in the future.

Meanwhile, Selena Gomez has been busy filming for her brand new series titled Only Murders in the Building where she also steps into the shoes of an executive producer.
