The Total Count Of Covid-19 Cases Soar Within Less Than 24 Hours, Pune Has First Patients

Coronavirus, which started off infecting people from Wuhan city, Mainland China, is spreading like wildfire not just in China alone but all across the globe also. The fear among Indians is growing bigger than ever and unfortunately, it will not stop at this moment as the number of infections is increasing every day.

Recently, on Monday, 9 March, two more people hailing from Pune are confirmed positive with Covid-19 and both the patients had a travel history to Dubai lately, said by PMC health officials. That stands to the reason why Pune coronavirus keyword starts trending on the Internet.

They became the first cases in Maharashtra tested positive for this deadly virus and have been quarantined at Naidu hospital. Both of them are currently undergoing treatment and in a stable condition. According to Chief Health Officer, Pune Municipal, Dr. Ramchandra Hankare, samples of a woman and a man tested positive in the evening. With two more Pune coronavirus patients, India had 47 confirmed cases last night.

Not just this, while a patient has mild symptoms of the virus, the other has virtually no symptoms, they said.

Maharashtra Health Minister Rajesh Tope stated that two new patients are a couple and the number of groups and cabs that they visited are now counted  and the process is now on to quarantine them.

The Pune coronavirus couple returned with 40 people in a group tour from Dubai on 1 March. The health officials are currently tracking down all the people whom they came in contact with.

On March 10, Kerala has also reported six fresh cases in the state and three new coronavirus patients are confirmed in Karnataka. In addition to two cases in Pune reported at late night on 9 March, the total count has reached 56.
