The 81-year-old Woman Became A Millionaire After Years Of Cleaning Toilet

The senior woman Wu Shengming who comes from Xi’an city, Shaanxi Province, Northwest China is a businesswoman whose rags-to-riches journey is way too inspiring. She is now the owner of an F&B empire in China including many subsidiaries. Especially, Shengming was a p.r.i.s.o.n.e.r who worked as a toilet cleaner after releasing from jail and has become a millionaire with a giant net worth.

The early days

Wu Shengming was born in 1933 in a family having three daughters. In the year 1950, when she was 17, she left home to start her own business with a small convenience store.

At the age of 25, she met Zhang Siyuan who is 7 years older than her but this relationship didn’t get approval from her family. She was too stubborn as she and her boyfriend fled home and moved to another province together to open a small electrical repair shop. In 1962, they officially got married and welcomed their first child 13 years later.

The year 1977 marked a turning point in her career as she started opening her first company to celebrate the arrival of their daughter. She expanded her business with different sectors.

The darkest days of her life

In 1985, she luckily got a million-dollar contract. However, she was also a.r.r.e.s.t.e.d in this trade a.f.f.a.i.r for s.m.u.g.g.l.i.n.g cars from Hongkong.

Her daughter committed sui_ide two years later and her husband also filed for divorce from her. Needless to say, Shengming was extremely desperate.

 Start over with a clean slate

Her first job after 18 years of fail was cleaning toilets in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. She was really hardworking and especially responsible for her work. She even won the “Outstanding Cleaner” honor of the city in 2004.

She later opened different companies, mostly involved in running chicken farms and vineyards but none of them brought her fruitful result.

Wu then landed a job in a nursing house as it was also the wish of her late daughter to help orphans and lonely seniors.

The woman gradually became successful when she runs the aged care business. She also entered the logistic industry at the same time.

Officially, in the year 2006, she has become a multimillionaire when she was 81 years old.

At the age of 88, She still arrives at the office at 8:00 and is always busy with her tight schedule every day. She always makes sure to keep herself updated with the latest news as she usually reads newspapers as well as attends several activities.

A piece of advice that Wu Shengming wants to give women is that they should maintain 4 things: Smile – Confidence – Ideas – Especially, Economic Independence.
