Aquaman Is On The Way To India, A Week Before US

'Aquaman' will hit the screens in India on December 14, 2018.

All rumors around The king of the ocean ‘Aquaman’ is palpable. It is confirmed to hit Indian screens before the rest of the world, earlier a week before the US. This adventure is inspired by the DC Comic title character written by Geoff Johns.

The film unveils the origin story of Arthur Curry, the son of an Atlantean queen and a human father. He will take on the journey in search of his home and identity and discover if he is worthy to take the Atlantean throne as its rightful king.

Directed by James Wan, this is the sixth installment in the DC Extended Universe. David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick and Will Beall are responsible for penning the screenplay.

Film trade analyst and noted film critic Taran Adarsh shared the release date on Twitter.

“Mark the date. Aquaman will set loose in India on 14 Dec 2018, one week ahead of its US release... “, he wrote in a tweet.

Aquaman stars Jason Momoa (Arthur Curry), Amber Heard (Mera - Princess of Atlantis). The supporting roles cast Oscar-winning actor Nicole Kidman (Aquaman's mother – Atlanna), Willem Dafoe as longtime ally Vulko, Patrick Wilson as Arthur’s half-brother.

The third live-action movie is estimated to cost 160 million dollars, which is expected to be a box-office hit for Warner Bros. at the end of this year.

'Aquaman' is slated to hit the screens in India on December 14, 2018.
