Ranbir Kapoor is gearing up to collaborate with one of his favourite actresses once again. Yes, we are talking about the ultimate diva of tinsel town, Deepika Padukone.
Of late, there has been a hoard of speculations about Padukone’s collaboration with hit filmmaker Luv Ranjan.
When the actress’ fans came to know about the possible association between the two, they took to social media and appealed to the actress to not work with the #MeToo accused filmmaker.
There have been a lot of conjectures in sections of the press that whether or not the actress would sign the project, as the director’s name cropped up in the #MeToo movement last year.
However, if a report published in a popular publication is to be believed, all speculations about her collaboration with Luv Ranjan can be put to rest.
Padukone is indeed starring in Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn’s film.
A source close to filmmaker Luv Ranjan informs the publication, “All the three leads are Ranjan’s first choices. There was never any dithering, the uncertainty was only in the media’s mind. Ajay Devgn, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone loved their roles from the start.”
We also hear that the team is looking at beginning the first schedule of the untitled film in the middle of next year. What makes the project even more interesting is the fact that Deepika Padukone has been paired opposite Ajay Devgn, and not Ranbir Kapoor.
Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone is awaiting the release of her much-talked-about film Chhapaak. Helmed by Meghna Gulzar, the movie is scheduled for its theatrical release on 10th January, 2020.
Ranbir Kapoor, on the other hand, is busy shooting for his much-delayed film Brahmastra with Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy.
