Kartik Aaryan Starrer “Bhool Bhulaiyaa” Sequel To Be Helmed By Anees Bazmee

Kartik Aaryan is undoubtedly the next big thing in Bollywood. The worldwide success of his last two films - Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) and Luka Chuppi (2019) - has proved it to one and all that the audience is warming up to him in a big way.

Filmmakers have also gauged his potential and are offering exciting projects to him. From Imtiaz Ali to Karan Johar, Kartik Aaryan is teaming up with some of the biggest names in the industry.

We recently learned that the rising star has been signed on to play the male lead in a sequel to T-Series’ 2007 hit horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, originally starring Akshay Kumar, Shiney Ahuja, and Vidya Balan. The latest update on the project is that producer Bhushan Kumar has roped in popular director Anees Bazmee to call the shots for Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

Bazmee is expected to take the film to the shooting floor towards the end of the year.

A source close to the development reveals that Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will be the first horror comedy for Anees Bazmee and he is quite psyched up about it.

Meanwhile, Anees Bazmee has just wrapped up his next rib-tickling comedy Pagalpanti, starring John Abraham, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Ileana D’Cruz and Kriti Kharbanda. After Pagalpanti, the filmmaker was about to helm a romcom, but the source informs that film will take off only after Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is wrapped up.

Before moving on to Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 towards the year-end, Kartik Aaryan will finish Pati Patni Aur Woh (1978) remake, alongside Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. He will follow it up with Dharma Productions’ hugely anticipated Dostana 2, co-starring newcomer Janhvi Kapoor.
