YouTuber Sahil Khattar To Play As Cricketer Syed Kirmani In Ranveer Singh’s Film 83

In the upcoming film 83, Ranveer Singh will play as Kapil Dev, the captain of the cricket team winning the first Cricket World Cup for India. While the film production team has confirmed Ranveer to play a role a long time ago, they also recently announced another name that will appear in this film.

The famous star on Youtube, Sahil Khattar was confirmed to appear in 83 as the cricket player Syed Kirmani. The Youtube star has a surprisingly similar appearance to Kirmani, a lower order batsman of the national cricket team that won against West Indies team in the final game of 1983 Cricket World Cup held at Lord’s, England. Popular actor of the South, Jiiva, will play the role of right-hand batsman Kris Srikkanth. Jiiva lately shared that he began training to prepare for the film and he must lose 7 kilograms to look lean and young for his character. Meanwhile, the role of Balwinder Singh Sandhu will be played by Punjabi singer and actor Ammy Virk.

The official announcement of the film was made at a significant event last July. Ranveer Singh called 83 one of the greatest underdog stories of all time and shared with IANS that he was honoured to play a part in the most amazing sports story of India’s history - the Cricket World Cup in 1983.

Ranveer also revealed a quick look at the training session that he was doing together with Balvinder Singh Sandhu to prepare better for the film. He posted the photo and wrote,

83 is directed and produced by Kabir Khan. The producer team of 83 also includes Vishnu Induri and Madhu Mantena. Presented by Reliance Entertainment, the film will be shot at real locations where the game was held and will be released at the box office on 10 April 2020.
