Actor Sonali Bendre has shot for her first magazine photoshoot since getting diagnosed with cancer in July last year, embracing her cancer scars after receiving treatment for almost six months in New York.
Sonali Bendre, who was fighting against cancer like a boss, posted her picture featured on Vogue magazine, in which she went to flaunt her scars since surgery. The beauty has come out stronger than ever.
In the pictures, Sonali can be seen in a frilly yellow gown, a pristine white shirt dress, beige cardigan with a headband. She found her biggest strength in husband Goldie Behl and son Ranveer, thanked Priya Tanna and Anaita Shroff Adajania for convincing her that even with the scars, she is beautiful. The former Bollywood diva wrote a heartwarming message about her scar and how she has embraced her new reality.
For the uninitiated, Sonali Bendre announced last year in July that she was diagnosed with cancer, for which she was undergoing treatment in the US. Sonali returned to India in December 2018, after landing, she had said that her 'treatment was over for now.' The actress is an inspiration and a role model to millions as always keeping herself cheerful and positive.
Earlier, talking about her battle against cancer at the India Today Conclave 2019, she said that she wanted to control her life story, "I wanted to be in charge of my narrative from the start. When you are a public figure, there are so many narratives that it out there. And suddenly you lose hold of that narrative very quickly. It becomes a different thing altogether."
Sonali also revealed when encountering pain and low phases, one has no choice but to deal with it.
