Sonali Bendre appeared on Harper's Bazaar India's magazine cover for the April edition. The actress looks simply gorgeous and in it.

The beautiful and bold actress Sonali Bendre shines as ever on the cover of a magazine. Last year, Sonali announced that she is battling with high-grade cancer, which came as a shock to Bollywood fans.

The actress underwent treatment in New York for five months. Often on her Instagram page, Sonali used to update her health status and posted wishes kept her strong and motivated. Known as an inspiration for many, Sonali Bendre recently featured on the cover of Harper's Bazaar magazine.

On the cover, the 44-year-old actress is seen donning a powder blue one-shoulder ruffled dress. She teamed her outfit with a pair of gold dangler earrings and a gold leaf bracelet. Her infectious smile and her dreamy eyes are the highlights of the picture. In another photo, Sonali Bendre can be seen nailing in a beige colour dress with floral detailing.

Sonali Bendre made her fight with cancer public, mainly because she wanted to narrate her own story and give strength and inspiration to many people suffering from the disease. In March, the actress took to Instagram to share her picture, showing off her 20-inch scar from her cancer surgery. It is proof of her steel grit and sheer positivity, even as she goes around now without a woman’s major beauty asset (or so many would like to believe) - the luscious tresses.

The idea was almost preposterous. An almost bald head, barely any make-up and a huge scar was not the norm for @vogue. But, I guess that's my new normal. Of course I had my reservations, and, if I dare say, insecurities - but a candid conversation with the lovely ladies @priya_tanna and @anaitashroffadajania cleared my doubts. And before I knew it, I was standing in front of the camera, ready to uncover my new reality. The icing on the cake was the fact that I needed one-third of the time for hair and make-up?. So I closed my eyes and jumped into it, full throttle, and this is the result. Thank you, @meghamahindru for telling my story; and thank you @ridburman for understanding my story and saying it so beautifully through your lens.
