Bollywood is no stranger to actors turning into producers, from Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone to Anushka Sharma. It’s time for Shahid Kapoor to get in the boat with his first-hand movie as the producer. Along with Raja Krishna Menon, the actor is going to co-produce in a biopic film named Dingko Singh. He reportedly will be the director of the film as well.
This biotic film tells the real-life story of Asian Games boxer Dingko Singh, who won several gold medals. While the film is in the scripting stage, it is expected to start shooting later this year.
The Film Will Hit The Theater This Year At All Prices
According to a close source, it’s not easy to deal with the script of the movie and Raja has joined hands with the writer. They’re going to make it, and the shooting will start as soon as possible. Most parts of the film will take places Behli and Manipur while the rest will be done overseas. In general, the film will hit the theatre this year at all prices.
Shalid Spent Time With The Actor To Understand His Life
Shalid reportedly spent time with the real character, Dingko, to study the life journey of him which is full of challenges. Coming from a poor family, having a hard time in an orphanage, he has suffered from all the ups and downs before winning the gold medal in 1998. Life, one more time, struck him with bile duct cancer. After a long time fighting against cancer, the winner is back being the boxing coach in Imphal.
While waiting for the new movie to start, Shahid is occupied with the remake of a Telugu movie Arjun Reddy. The film also has Kiara Advani in the lead role and the same actor of Tegulu version, Sandeep Vanga.
