Shah Rukh Khan Approached To Play Baddie In Yash Raj Films’ “Dhoom 4”

This is not the first time when the rumours of Shah Rukh Khan playing the lead antagonist in “Dhoom 4” have spread in Bollywood corridors. In the past also, SRK has been linked to the next instalment of the franchise several times.

Shah Rukh Khan has not signed any new film post the debacle of his ambitious project, Zero (2018). He was set to headline Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala’s much-talked-about Saare Jahan Se Achcha post the release of Zero. However, when the Aanand L Rai directorial bombed at the box-office, the superstar walked out of Saare Jahan Se Achcha, which is a biopic on Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma.

Shah Rukh Khan was then linked to Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3. The superstar starred in the previous two successful installments of the franchise. So, his name was an obvious choice for its next installment as well. However, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar denied making Don 3 anytime soon as he was yet to lock the final script to take the franchise forward.

Now, rumors are doing the rounds that Shah Rukh Khan has been approached to play the lead antagonist in the fourth installment of Yash Raj Films’ successful franchise, Dhoom. Buzz also has it that the production house has decided to pass the directorial baton on to a new director to helm Dhoom 4.

Well, this is not the first time when the superstar’s name has been associated with the much-awaited project. He has been linked to Dhoom 4 several times in the past also. It would indeed be great to see Shah Rukh Khan stepping into a villainous role yet again. We are waiting for an official announcement.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan, who is presently busy producing a lot of content for the digital medium, is also rumored to be reuniting with filmmaker Farah Khan for the official remake of the 1982 film, Satte Pe Satta. An official announcement is awaited though.
