Shah Rukh Khan has not signed any new film post the debacle of his ambitious project, Zero (2018). He was set to headline Siddharth Roy Kapur and Ronnie Screwvala’s much-talked-about Saare Jahan Se Achcha post the release of Zero. However, when the Aanand L Rai directorial bombed at the box-office, the superstar walked out of Saare Jahan Se Achcha, which is a biopic on Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma.

So, his name was an obvious choice for its next installment as well. However, actor-filmmaker Farhan Akhtar denied making Don 3 anytime soon as he was yet to lock the final script to take the franchise forward.
