India Election 2019: Saif Ali Khan Advises Every Leader To Be Aware Of The Country's Unity

Saif Ali Khan stated that in a special event on the importance of voting recently, together with Siddhant Chaturvedi and Bhumi Pednekar.

India is currently holding its general election of 2019. The voting period takes place from 11 April to 19 May, after that on 23 May, the counts will be revealed and members of the 17th Lok Sabha will be announced. It attracts massive attention from the public, even our Bollywood stars.

This Tuesday, actor Saif Ali Khan, accompanied by some other celebrities such as Siddhant Chaturvedi, Bhumi Pednekar, participated in a campaign encouraging people to exercise their voting rights actively, so that all the leaders are aware of Indian "power of unity."

Saif shared at a panel discussion, “Not voting shouldn’t be an option. You can really affect change. I think one of the things that any government or any leader should fear and be really aware of is the power of unity in this country. We get together, have this union and decide and discuss to vote, suddenly we will become important to these guys and they’ll fear you. So use that and look after your country."

Talking about reasons why they were at the event, the actor emphasized that even though the power of voting was clarified, many people, especially the youth, still notoriously ignore it. So they established a campaign to remind everyone about this great importance once again. Its slogan appeared to be #UnitedByVote, sponsored and held by Benetton India. Alongside other stars like Bhumi Pednekar, Siddhant Chaturvedi, they all seemed healthily and determinedly in the outfit of uniform T-shirt and jeans.

Saif Ali Khan also advised through research and consideration before voting. It's unwise to choose any names you see or to believe every piece of news you read and let it influence your decision. He admitted that many out there was rubbish that you should carefully clarify and consider before taking any further actions.

To wrap up the discussion, he firmly concluded that every civil should "use that and look after your country."
