Starring Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez, “Kick” marked the directorial debut of producer Sajid Nadiadwala. Rumours were rife that he would return to helm the sequel as well, but if reports are to be believed, Rohit Shetty is ready to call the shots.

Rohit Shetty, who is currently one of the most successful filmmakers in Bollywood, is set to direct superstar Salman Khan in his next film. Yes, you heard that absolutely right! News is coming in that filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has roped in Rohit Shetty to take the Kick franchise forward and direct Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in Kick 2.

Kick (2014) marked the directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala who has produced several blockbuster films over the years. Speculation was rampant that he would return to call the shots for Kick 2 as well, but now it seems that there is some change in plan and the directorial baton has been passed on to Rohit Shetty.

Rohit Shetty and Salman Khan have never worked together before. Kick 2, which is expected to be high on action and car-chase sequences, seems to be the perfect film for them to collaborate on.
