Rohit Shetty, who is currently one of the most successful filmmakers in Bollywood, is set to direct superstar Salman Khan in his next film. Yes, you heard that absolutely right! News is coming in that filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala has roped in Rohit Shetty to take the Kick franchise forward and direct Salman Khan and Jacqueline Fernandez in Kick 2.
Kick (2014) marked the directorial debut of Sajid Nadiadwala who has produced several blockbuster films over the years. Speculation was rampant that he would return to call the shots for Kick 2 as well, but now it seems that there is some change in plan and the directorial baton has been passed on to Rohit Shetty.
Rohit Shetty and Salman Khan have never worked together before. Kick 2, which is expected to be high on action and car-chase sequences, seems to be the perfect film for them to collaborate on.
The source also spills the beans that Kick 2 is not the only film that Salman and Rohit are planning to collaborate on.
Meanwhile, Salman Khan is currently basking in the success of his latest film, Bharat. Released on the auspicious occasion of Eid, the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial has pocket approximately ₹122.40 crores within four days of release.
