“Sooryavanshi” To Not Release on 24th March Due To Coronavirus Scare

Sooryavanshi is one of the most awaited films of 2020. It has been in news even before the project started rolling, simply because it brings together superstar Akshay Kumar and hit machine Rohit Shetty for the first time ever. The trailer of the cop-drama was dropped a couple of weeks ago, which received huge response from viewers.

Sooryavanshi is a film very close to director Rohit Shetty as it expands his cop universe which he started with Singham (2011) and Simmba (2019). The director has been working day and night on the post-production work of the film. News had it that he has also been discussing the release date with producer Karan Johar, Akshay Kumar, and Shibashish Sarkar, the CEO of Reliance Entertainment due to the coronavirus outbreak. Now, it has been confirmed that Sooryavanshi will not be hitting theatres on 24^th March 2020.

A statement from Rohit Shetty Picturez read that Sooryavanshi is an experience that the makers have created for the audience with over a year of dedication and hard work, and the response they received for its trailer was nothing less than electrifying and made it clear that this film truly belongs to its audience.

The statement further read, "We have been as excited as you are to present the film to you and your family, but due to the recent outburst of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we, the makers, have decided to postpone the release of your film Sooryavanshi, keeping in mind the health and safety of our beloved audience. And therefore, Sooryavanshi will be back for you just when the time is right. After all, safety comes first. Until then, keep the excitement alive, take good care of yourself and stay strong. We shall pull through this.”

The announcement regarding the new release date of the film is highly-awaited.
