Rohit Shetty Announces Expansion Of Police Universe With "Sooryavanshi" After "Singham" And "Simmba"

Yesterday, director-producer Rohit Shetty issued an official announcement about the entry of another cop character into his well-known police-flick universe. It means that movie enthusiasts will have the opportunity to contemplate and enjoy another talented police officer named Veer Sooryavanshi on the silver screen after the extraordinary successes of the previous cop blockbusters including Singham and Simmba.

To make a start and welcome the birth of a new project, director Rohit Shetty took to Instagram to show off a photo of the 5-member police corps including him, producer Karan Johar, the new member Akshay Kumar (Sooryavasnhi), especially the presence of two ex-cops Ajay Devgn (in Singham) and Ranveer Singh (in Simmba). "And the Universe Expands...Our GAME BEGINS," the director put a caption.

Subsequently, Akshay Kumar, the new drama's hero, also immediately posted the news with the same pic via his Instagram. Interestingly, not only Akshay but also the producer Karan Johar, as well as two former cop protagonists, Ajay and Ranveer, took to social media to spread their delight with the expansion of the police band.

In the pic, director Rohit Shetty, producer Karan Johar can be seen posing with three of cop heroes, Akshay Kumar, Ranveer Singh, and Ajay Devgn. Besides, the leading ladies in three cop movies including Katrina Kaif, Sara Ali Khan, and Kareena Kapoor are also tagged in the post. For the uninitiated, Kareena and Sara Ali Khan marked their presence in Singham Returns and Simmba respectively, whereas Katrina will portray the female protagonist in new flick Sooryavanshi.
