Evergreen actor and Bollywood superstar Rishi Kapoor who had ruled the Hindi film industry over four decades died at a hospital in Mumbai on Thursday morning, 30 April, at the age of 67.

Making his debut with the film Bobby in the year 1973, Rishi was one of the most loved actors in B-town and he always managed to charm his way into the fans’ heart with his impeccable acting talent. In the year 2018, the actor was diagnosed with cancer and he received medical treatment in New York for nearly one year. In September 2019, the B-wood fans were relatively excited as his health condition became better and he could return to India.
However, on Wednesday morning, Rishi Kapoor was hospitalized in Mumbai and now the whole industry was totally shocked when the news was about his sudden demise.
Everyone seems not to believe in his unexpected death until Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan took to his Twitter handle to confirm the news. The actor tweeted to mourn the death of his industry friend and co-star in several films.
Big B wrote,
“Rishi Kapoor…gone…passed away. I am destroyed!”
However, the tweet was soon deleted.
With just a few words, we can feel the pain deepened inside the veteran heart when witnessing the death of his long-time friend.
Many Bollywood celebrities took to their social media handle to pay tribute to our legendary actor.
Akshay Kumar, who shared the screen space with the late actor in the film Patiala House, tweeted,
It’s not far off the mark to say B-town has been a roller-coaster ride as, within less than 24 hours, we witness the demise of two legends. Yesterday, the Internet was breaking with the death of Life Of Pi star Irrfan Khan.
It’s a big loss for the Hindi film industry.
Rest In Peace! Rishi Kapoor! You will be remembered forever!
