Replay 2019: A Year With Immense Silver Screen Absence From These Bollywood Stars

As same as every year, 2019 has witnessed the showering of many Hindi hits and several actors’ breakthroughs. On the other hand, some Bollywood stars’ absences from the silver screen have made this year turn down a beat of a flower. A true movie lover would not concern about this when they just pay attention to the plot of the films.

Nonetheless, fans have been day by day waiting for their much-loved stars to appear in the films, even a small role. From Deepika Padukone to Shah Rukh Khan, let’s find the Bollywood stars who got off the silver screen’s lights to prepare for a breakout 2020.

Shah Rukh Khan

Alleging that his latest movie Zero failed to make a hit at the box office or his disinclination of holding a new film, King Khan left another year off the filmy industry. He did not only appear in any project but also had no announcements about his next film.

Ranbir Kapoor

The actor has been pouring all of his efforts into complete shooting for Brahmastra directed by Ayan Mukerji. After many times of postponing the film’s release date from Independence Day 2019 to Christmas 2019 and later moved to summer 2020, two years of busy filming has taken Ranbir a lot. Following Dharma Productions, it’s the comprehensive VFX execution and the immense budget for the film are the main reasons for the delay.

Deepika Padukone

Post the blockbuster Padmaavat by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, while Ranveer Singh took another box office-master Gully Boy, Deepika rested for almost a couple of years before releasing some hits in 2020. Also last year, the wedding tying her and Ranveer Singh took the gorgeous diva a certain time. She no longer will appear in the much-awaited biopic Chhapaak releasing on January 10^th. Despite not giving any performance in the filmy projects, Deepika was honored as the Sexiest Asian Woman of the Decade.

Anushka Sharma

Also taking a long break after the bomb Zero, Anushka Sharma hasn’t given any updates for her upcoming projects. Unlike Shah Rukh Khan with some rumors about his next, none of the actress’s filmy information was revealed.

Aamir Khan

Another biggie taking a break from the silver screen in 2019 but Aamir’s absence is easy to understand. Like his nickname of Mr. Perfectionist, the Bollywood superstar often spends at least a couple of years to release a film. In 2018, his starrer-film Thugs of Hindostan was a hit in the B-town history with its enormous amount of grossing over the box office. On the front work, he will be seen in Laal Singh Chaddha which is slated to hit the theatres on the occasion of Christmas next year.

Sara Ali Khan

Last year seemed to enough with Sara Ali Khan when two of her projects including her debut film Kedarnath and Simmba featuring Ranveer Singh were hits of the year. This year she didn’t bag any projects, however, the starlet has been receiving a lot of love from fans domestically as well as internationally that she won the sixth position on the topmost searched personalities on Google Pakistan 2019 and replaces Alia Bhatt to be the headliner of Kids Choice Awards this year. In 2020, she will appear in at least two films including Love Aaj Kal 2 opposite her rumored boyfriend Kartik Aaryan and Coolie No. 1 starring Varun Dhawan.

Janhvi Kapoor

Debuting in 2018, too, Janhvi Kapoor held no films in hand this year while appearing on the headlines for her style statements. But next year, she will return to the silver screen with some films such as RoohiAfza and Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. Joining the cast of Dostana 2 and Bombay Girl, she might get a breakout year with these flicks.
