Meanwhile, actress Aditi Rao Hydari, who played the wife of Alauddin Khilji, also posted 2 stills from the movie on Instagram and captioned with a long message. In one post, the actress expressed that working in this movie was one experience and dream comes true that she could never describe in words.

Helmed by director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the epic period drama movie Padmaavat had an unbeaten run at the box office and collected about three billion rupees, which made it become one of the highest earning films of the year 2018. Padmaavat is loosely based on the epic poem Padmavat by Malik Muhammad Jayasi, which tells a story of Rani Padmini of Chittor.

It featured Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone as Padmavati, a legendary Rajput queen, who performs Jauhar along with hundreds of Rajput women after the Khilji army succeeds in defeating the Rajputs and capturing Chittor.
