Randeep Hooda Helps Drought Victims In Maharashtra And Urges Government To Take Action

Randeep Hooda posted a video on Instagram calling for help from the government to find a more effective solution for the drought victims in India.

Randeep Hooda has recently been making headlines when a video of him helping the people in Nashik, Maharashtra who are suffering from water shortage was shared on social media.

The actor of Highway posted the video on Instagram, calling on the Indian government to take more effective measures and actions to help the victims of the drought.

As reported by DEWS (Drought Early Warning System), approximately 42% of India is suffering from unusual drought. Maharashtra, Telangana, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Gujarat are among the areas that suffered the most.

Previously, Randeep has many time joined the Khalsa Aid in voluntary missions such as cleaning up the Juhu beach after 2017 Ganpati Visarjan or providing food for Kerala flood victims last year.

Beside Randeep Hooda, many other actors, directors or filmmakers are interested in the problem of water shortage and environmental conservation. Director Shekhar Kapur, for example, often tells everyone to save water, reduce plastic use and clean the water bodies on his Twitter account.

Producer and actor Aamir Khan, along with his wife Kiran Rao, has founded the Paani Foundation to deal with the drought problems in Maharashtra.
