Priyanka Chopra On Choosing "The Sky Is Pink", Is She Taking A Jibe At "Bharat" Film?

At the party to wrap up her upcoming The Sky is Pink, Priyanka was asked to speak a few words about why she chose this as her comeback film from various options.

Priyanka Chopra was the first choice to play Kumud Raina in Ali Abbas Zafar's Bharat. However, the actress decided to opt out of Bharat two days before the filming schedule as she was getting married to Nick Jonas and wanted to devote her time to her wedding preparation.

This didn't go down well with superstar Salman Khan, who often takes several potshots at Priyanka. While PeeCee kept mum all this time and chose to ignore it, she recently had a chance to call spade a spade.

Recently, Priyanka Chopra had a party to celebrate The Sky Is Pink's wrapping with the entire crew and her co-stars. In one video surfaced online, Priyanka was asked to say a few words about picking this film as her comeback over various offers.

Priyanka said,

She revealed the reason she said yes to The Sky is Pink is because of Shonali and her vision.

Earlier, during some promotions for Bharat, Salman Khan left no chance to mock Priyanka for her sudden exit. "She has had a huge struggle in her career before she went on to become this super achiever. If she decided to leave everything and get married, it is amazing. Bharat is doing well at the box office, earning more than Rs 150 crore after an extended opening weekend and crossing the Rs 250 crore mark internationally.

Talking about The Sky is Pink, it is based on a real-life story of Aisha, a motivation speaker who was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. The movie narrates the journey of the same and will see Priyanka and Farhan pair on screen for the very first time. The film is slated to release on October 11, 2019.
