She, whose full name is Manya Omprakash Singh, originates from a humble background. She has to struggle very hard to have a better future not just for herself but also for her family.

Being one of the top three beauties who made it to the top of the pageant, Manya Singh also works as a model. She is 1.70m or 5 feet 7 inches tall.

Meanwhile,  she is a Bachelor of Banking & Insurance and she graduated in Management.

Manya Singh was fascinated with modeling since forever. She began taking up modeling skills and auditioned for the Campus Princess beauty pageant a lot of times. However, she was unable to pass the first round in over 10 auditions.

She still kept her head up and applied for noted famous fashion like Lakme Fashion Week and Times Fashion Week.

As the model who walked a lot of ramps, Manya was finally crowned Miss India Uttar Pradesh in 2020.

For the uninitiated, Manya Singh Miss India 2020 was also a bright student. She scored 80% in her 10th class. And for the 12th standard, she also gained the best student award for her achievements.

Also, she loves reading new books and traveling to new places.

Now, this backstory plays a big part in creating who Manya Singh is. She did not have an easy childhood and she went through a lot to be in her place now.

She recently shared a long note on social media. The 19-year-old girl said,

"I was 15 when I watched the Miss India Pageant for the first time I thought, 'I'm going to win that crown someday & make Papa proud. But coming from a patriarchal family, I was told that women are lesser than men. Tauji would say, 'Ladkiyon ko padhai karke bhi shaadi hi karni padti hai."

However, when she opened up about her dream to her Papa, he encouraged her to work hard and she would get there.

She also unveiled that at the start, she was rejected due to her English or her looks. They said she does not have a nice face.

"I auditioned for over 10 pageants, but they'd say, 'Shakal achi nahi hai' (you don't have a nice face) or 'You don't even know English! Things weren't easy at home either.

Papa had mortgaged our jewellery to pay my fees. So if I'd need money to buy clothes, I'd mop the floor at the pizza place. There, I observed how people carried themselves & in college, I'd observe how my friends spoke English."

Going through so many hardships, it is comforting to see how she has had her first successes.
