Madhuri Dixit On Taking Up Sridevi's Role in Kalank: We Used To Remember Her On Sets

Madhuri Dixit stepped into the shoes of the late legendary actor Sridevi in Karan Johar's big project Kalank after her sudden demise. Sridevi had signed the film before she passed away in February last year. At the film's teaser launch in Mumbai on Tuesday, Madhuri Dixit revealed that she felt very emotional while taking up the role.
When asked about how she felt to be stepping into the shoes or rather a role that was supposed to be played by Sridevi on the sets of "Kalank", she said:

Back in the 90s, Sridevi and Madhuri were pitted against each other. Madhuri started gaining popularity in the late 80s while Sridevi was at the peak of her career.
Madhuri said.
Directed by Abhishek Verman, Kalank also stars Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is slated to release on April 17, 2019.
