During a recent interview to Deccan Chronicle, Bollywood heartthrob Kartik Aaryan has revealed the reason why he could not attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony, stating that it was because of his family issues.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Kartik Aaryan has 2 interesting projects in his pipeline. He will be next seen in the Imtiaz Ali's upcoming directorial alongside Sara Ali Khan, which is said to be a sequel to 2009’s Love Aaj Kal starring Sara’s dad, Saif Ali Khan and Deepika Padukone in the leading roles.

In addition, he is currently working on Pati, Patni Aur Who with Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday. The film went on floors a couple of months ago and will be resuming the shoot soon. Directed by Mudassar Aziz, the film is set to hit the cinema on December 6, 2019.
