"Sanju" Actress Karishma Tanna Defends Rajkumar Hirani After #MeToo Allegations

Karishma Tanna has defended her Sanju director and said "whoever is trying to do this, is very immature" and praised him as a veteran and respectable director.

Actress Karishma Tanna is the latest celebrity to join the group of Rajkumar Hirani's supporters which includes actors Sharman Joshi, Arshad Warsi and writer Javed Akhtar in the midst of his sexual harassment allegations.
Karishma, who was roped in a supporting role in Sanju, said that she was upset and shocked at these allegations. She opened up during a recent interview.
She added:
Over the weekend, a member from Hirani's film Sanju (2018) alleged that the filmmaker had sexually misconducted her over a period of six months between March and September 2018. However, Hirani dismissed the allegation and called it “false and completely unjustified”.
Actor Arshad Warsi on Tuesday took to Twitter to defend Hirani:
Earlier Dia Mirza and Sharman Joshi also came out to support Rajkumar Hirani. While Sharman called him ‘a man of immense integrity, character, honor, compassion, and truthfulness’, Dia Mirza said she was deeply distressed by this news:
