Kangana Ranaut Shares Her Excitement About Playing Jayalalithaa In “Thalaivi”

After the success of her latest film “Judgementall Hai Kya”, Kangana Ranaut is gearing up to begin work on her next “Thalaivi”, which is a biopic based on the eventful life of late actress-turned-politician Jayalalithaa.

Kangana Ranaut is undoubtedly one of the best talents that we have seen in Bollywood lately. She is currently on a winning spree.

After the humongous success of her magnum opus Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019) earlier this year, Kangana Ranaut has scored yet another hit in the form of her latest film Judgemental Hai Kya (2019), which entered theatres on 26^th July and has been performing well ever since.

Now, the National Film Award-winning actress is looking forward to working on yet another exciting project titled Thalaivi.

Thalaivi is a multilingual biopic based on the life of actress-turned-politician Jayalalithaa who breathed her last on December 5, 2016.

Kangana Ranaut, who is known for picking up challenging and multilayered characters, will play the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu in her much-awaited biopic. Recently, the Queen (2014) star opened up about playing Jayalalithaa in the upcoming film.

Thalaivi will be made in three languages i.e. Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. The makers have obtained the NOC from Mr. Deepak, the nephew of Jayalalithaa. The biopic was officially announced on February 24, which marked the 71st birthday of Jayalalithaa.

It will be directed by filmmaker AL Vijay from a script was written by Vijayendra Prasad of Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017) and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi (2019) fame.
