Kangana Ranaut Admits Without Her, “JudgeMentall Hai Kya” Would Become A Blockbuster

The "Queen" actor Kangana Ranaut also revealed that she won’t be a part of the ensemble cast in the films she produces.

Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut who is set to launch her own production house next January has recently announced that she will concentrate on budget-friendly films first.

The star explained that these movies are much more promising to become box office hits. The Queen actor also revealed that she won’t be a part of the ensemble cast in the films she produces. She prefers providing the platform for young and new talent instead.

She said, in a recent interview with Mid Day, “I won’t be acting in the films that I produce. There is a lot of talent around and I will hire actors who are perfect for the scripts. I will take new talent under my wing and guide them.”

Elaborating further over the same, she spilled some beans that her office will get ready for the January opening and they are all set for new projects. In fact, a lot of good scripts are coming her way.

Talking about the failure of her latest release JudgeMentall Hai Kya, Kangana said “If JudgeMentall Hai Kya was made without me on a budget of Rs 10 crore, it would have been a blockbuster at Rs 40 crore. However, because it was made at nearly Rs 30 crore, it just about broke even. I want to [back] a few small films and see how that goes. Eventually, I may do something on a bigger level. We will also venture into digital entertainment.”

In her last outing JudgeMentall Hai Kya, she starred opposite Rajkummar Rao. And, the actress will slip into J Jayalalithaa’s shoes in a biopic. Not just this, Kangana also has an interesting slate of films coming up. Post the biopic, she will feature in the action drama Dhaakad. Stay tuned!
