Kader Khan Demise: Amitabh Bachchan, Lata Mangeshkar And Other Celebs Mourn The Loss Of Legendary Actor-Screenwriter

Veteran Bollywood actor-screenwriter Kader Khan passed away on Tuesday in Canada. He was 81.

The actor breathed his last in a hospital in Canada after a long time fighting against a prolonged illness. The Bollywood industry including his colleagues and friends has expressed their condolence to the veteran's demise on Twitter.

Khan is known for his work as an actor and a writer in his famous films. He has been part of numerous blockbusters including Khoon Bhari Maang, Biwi Ho To Aisi, Bol Radha Bol, Main Khiladi Tu Anari, Judwaa, Dulhe Raja and Haseena Maan Jayegi. He was last seen in 2015 in Ho Gaya Deemag Ka Dahi.

Farida Jalal, who collaborated with Kadar Khan in several films including Dulha Hum Le Jayenge, tweeted.

The Nightingale of Bollywood Lata Mangeshkar said Indian industry has lost a talented artist.

Anupam Kher touted Khan as "one of the finest actors of our country". They worked together in several projects such as Meherbaan, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan and  ChaalBaaz.

The actor had been hospitalised after complaining of breathlessness and was put on a BiPAP ventilator. He was unable to talk and also showed signs of pneumonia after knee surgery. Khan is survived by his wife Hajra, son Sarfaraz, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.
