Is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Miffed With Amitabh Bachchan For Teaming Up With Emraan Hashmi For “Chehre”?

According to reports, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is not pleased with father-in-law Amitabh Bachchan’s decision of sharing the screen space with actor Emraan Hashmi because of a past action of the “Murder” (2004) star.

Buzz has it that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is miffed with her father-in-law, Amitabh Bachchan. So, what has Big B done to incur the displeasure of his daughter-in-law? Well, according to reports, Aish is unhappy with the megastar because he has decided to work with actor Emraan Hashmi. The collaboration, which was announced a couple of weeks ago with much fanfare, has not gone down well with the former beauty queen.

People who have binge-watched all the seasons of Karan Johar’s chat show Koffee With Karan would know the reason behind Bachchan Bahu’s dismay. Actually, while playing a rapid-fire round with swashbuckling host Karan Johar on the show, Emraan Hashmi had referred to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as plastic.

Hashmi’s caustic comment about her had really hurt the actress back then. Perhaps that is one of the reasons the duo never came together to do a movie. But now when Amitabh Bachchan has joined hands with Emraan Hashmi for an upcoming film called Chehre, Aish is miffed with the thespian for doing so.

Chehre is a suspense thriller film, which is being directed by screenwriter and director Rumi Jaffery. It brings Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi together for the first time in their careers. Beside them, the movie also stars Kriti Kharbanda and Rhea Chakraborty in important roles. Chehre, produced by Anand Pundit, has already started rolling and is expected to hit the marquee in the first half of 2020.

If we talk about Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s forthcoming projects, the gorgeous actress has not signed any movie after her last release Fanney Khan (2018). However, she is reportedly in talks with celebrated filmmaker Mani Ratnam to play the female lead in his forthcoming directorial venture. The untitled film is rumored to be a historical drama. An official announcement could be made soon.
