“If Not For Him, I Would Not Have Been Alive”, Amitabh Bachchan On Bal Thackeray

Amitabh Bachchan appeared at the trailer launch of Bal Thackeray’s biopic film yesterday as the special guest. At the event, Big B shared about his lifelong friendship with politician Bal Thackeray.

Took a flashback, the megastar recalled his serious injury on the sets of Coolie in 1983. At that time, he was in critical condition as his back was poorly hurt caused by the terrible accident. However, due to bad weather, the ambulance couldn't come to the place immediately, and Bal Thackeray was the one who came and saved him from danger.

Recalling the past, Amitabh Bachchan said that he is alive till now because of Bal Thackeray.

Sharing another story of their beautiful friendship, Amitabh revealed that Bal Thackeray always treats Jaya Bachchan like his daughter-in-law after meeting Amitabh’s wife post their wedding.

Thackery’s biography film is expected to hit the cinema on January 24. The film has Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Amrita Rao joined the cast. The film will compete with Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi with Kangana Ranaut in the leading role.
