Hrithik Roshan has proved it once again that he still is a force to reckon with at the box-office. With Super 30 (2019), the superstar returned to the silver screen after a gap of 2.5 years. He was last seen in his home production Kaabil which hit the marquee in January 2017.
As expected, Super 30 opened to resounding response at the ticket window with collections zooming past the ₹ 100 crore mark within ten days of release.
Currently, in its second week, Super 30 is holding extremely well at the box-office, especially in multiplexes nationwide. The total collection of the movie currently stands at approximately ₹ 110 crore, which is great for a film that boasts of no song and dance routine, action and comedy.
With almost ₹ 110 crore in its pocket, Super 30 has surpassed the lifetime business of Hrithik Roshan’s last film Kaabil. The film has also emerged as his fourth-highest grosser after Krrish 3 (2013), Bang Bang (2014) and Agneepath (2012). It is expected to cross the lifetime business of Agneepath by the third weekend.
Hrithik Roshan is on cloud nine after the riotous success of the movie. He is overwhelmed to see the reaction of the audience. “Students in school uniforms coming to cinemas on a Sunday was a big surprise for me. Such sights are not just delightful, but also inspiring for the performers and creators of a movie. I am sure, the entire team of Super 30 would feel blessed with this affection,” said Hrithik Roshan.
Based on the eventful life of award-winning mathematician Anand Kumar, Super 30 has been made tax-free in such states as Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan and Delhi. Produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Reliance Entertainment and now dissolved Phantom Films, Super 30 is a Vikas Bahl directorial.
