Hrithik Roshan Mentors Cousin Pashmina Roshan For Bollywood Debut?

Hrithik Roshan burst onto the silver screen on January 14, 2000. He made his acting debut with the romantic thriller Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai opposite debutante Ameesha Patel. The music became a rage before the release of the film and when the movie finally hit the silver screen, it went on to shatter every box-office record at that time, and gave a new superstar to Indian cinema in the form of Hrithik Roshan.

Two decades later, another member from the respected Roshan family is set to step into the world of Hindi movies. Yes, we are talking about Pashmina Roshan, the cousin of superstar Hrithik Roshan. She is the daughter of celebrated music composer Rajesh Roshan. Reportedly, Pashmina Roshan is in talks with leading production houses for her launch. And if things fall into place, she will be making her Bollywood debut in 2020.

“The new star kid has the face of an 18-year-old and the mind of a 40-year-old when she will actually turn 24 on November 10,” a source told to a popular tabloid. Pashmina will be the third generation of the Roshan family to launch a career in showbiz. Her family’s tryst with Hindi cinema began with music director-grandfather Roshan, her composer-father Rajesh, actor-filmmaker-uncle Rakesh, and actor cousin Hrithik.

What is interesting that instead of being launched by her filmmaker uncle Rakesh Roshan, who runs a premier production house like FilmKraft Pvt Ltd, Pashmina will begin her career with another established production house.

“Pashmina has a strong theatre background and has done a six-month course from Barry John’s acting school in Mumbai. She has also trained with theatre-actor Abhishek Pandey, actress-director and recipient of the Sahitya Natak Akademi Award, Nadira Babbar, and American playwright Jeff Goldberg,” the source informed, adding, “Hrithik is really excited and has been personally guiding and mentoring Pashmina.”
