Exclusive Interview: Angela Krislinzki Hopes High On ZEE5 Web Series "Pawan And Pooja"

In this exclusive interview with STARBIZ correspondent Imran Fazal, actress Angela Krislinzki talks about the difficulties of starting her career as a newcomer. She also speaks about her role in the upcoming release Malang. 

Talking about upcoming projects, Angela Krislinzki will be seen starring opposite Sharman Joshi in the web series titled Pawan And Pooja to be released this year on ZEE5 OTT platform.

You will be seen in a multi-starrer film Malang. How would you describe your role in the movie? 

I am playing the role of Shaad Randhawa's wife. Shaad is portraying the role of Aditya Roy Kapoor's best friend. Overall it is a very cute role in the movie. I have earlier worked in Vikram Bhatt's movie 1921. Working with big banners helps to grow in the industry.

Have you tried to work for the web series which now has become a trend in India?

I am starring in the web series Pawan And Pooja opposite Sharman Joshi which will be released on ZEE5 OTT platform this year. The web series is directed by Shaad Ali and is being co-directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. It is a fantastic web series which will keep the audience glued to it.

Can you describe the web series and role you have played in Pawan And Pooja? 

I am playing the role of an actress in the web series, it is a glamorous role. The web series cast includes Gul Panag, Sanjay Majrekar and Deepti Naval. It is about two lives running parallel to each other. Sharman Joshi and Sanjay Manjrekar's role run on parallel sides on two different times.

Do you think web series transforms an actor within and how different is it to shoot for a film and for web series? 

I don't think there is much difference in shooting for films and web series. The sets are same and the DoP is same. So the only difference is that the audience will go to watch films in theaters with their popcorn tubs while on web series platforms audience can sit at home and watch the films and web series.

Did you meet Hrithik Roshan after the tweet controversy?

I have met Hrithik only as co-stars during the shoot of television commercials. I did not try to contact him after that as we met only for shooting purpose.

Being a newcomer and "outsider", did you struggle in fetching roles in the industry? 

I struggled for two years. I got into modelling and eventually did few TV commercials and got a South Indian movie. It is difficult to get roles being an outsider. The star kids are well connected and it becomes easy for them to get a role. But these days the audience have become more sensible and they applaud the talent.

On what projects are you working on in the South Indian film industry? 

My debut Telugu film Rogue (2017) was a hit which was directed by Puri Jagannadh. Currently, I am focusing on scripts which would justify my acting skills. I am looking forward for roles with big banners which would help strengthen my career. I have recently finished a music album with Bohemia and Meet Brothers.
