Deepika Padukone Shows Up At JNU Sabarmati Protests In Solidarity With The Students

Deepika Padukone has shown her solidarity with the students protesting at the JNU by turning up at the site.

The whole world has sundered with their own opinions on the current protests at JNU Sabarmati post the attack of masked goons towards the professors and students. Amongst the people who have shared on their social handles, a lot of Bollywood stars have also expressed their viewpoints.

Deepika Padukone had shared her thoughts on the active participation of the youngsters in the protests and moreover expressed her view about it. She said that is how something should be done and she is proud of those youngsters for raising their opinions regardless of their diverse beliefs.

After her statement, Deepika herself has brought another instance by joining the JNU protests with the students and others. The actress has been in Delhi in the past 2 days to promote her upcoming film Chhapaak. She can be seen standing among the students at the Sabarmati T-point.

For the uninitiated, some celebs have even joined the occurring protests to show their rapport with the students. Recently, pictures of Dia Mirza, Anurag Kashyap and others at the march graced the Internet.

Moreover, there were more Bollywood stars like filmmakers Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, Vishal Bhardwaj along with actors Richa Chadha and Taapsee Pannu showed up at Carter Road, Mumbai in coalition with the protesters against the JNU violence.

JNU has been storm-tossed since Sunday last week when masked miscreants broke in the campus and violently assaulted students who were in Sabarmati hostel with metal rods and sticks. ABVP members and the students have been blaming one another for the violence. The matter is being investigated by the police.
