Anees Bazmee, who last helmed “Pagalpanti”, is currently working on “Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2”. Starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in lead roles, the film is a sequel to the 2007 horror comedy “Bhool Bhulaiyaa”.

Anees Bazmee is one of the most successful filmmakers of Bollywood. In his close to a three-decade long career, he has written and directed a series of superhit films. The prolific filmmaker is presently working on his next directorial venture, titled Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. As the title suggests itself, the upcoming film is a sequel to the 2007 horror comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa, originally starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja in lead roles. The sequel features Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in central characters.

After completing a small portion in Mumbai, the entire cast and crew of the film will now head off to Jaipur. Confirming the same, director Anees Bazmee informs a publication that they have shot a small portion in Mumbai and will now proceed to Jaipur as most of the film will be shot in Rajasthan. The filmmaker adds that it is quite a change from his last film Pagalpanti (2019) which was shot in London.

Azmee, who is directing Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani for the first time, is all praise for his lead pair and shares that both of them look terrific together. He described them as a fresh pair and that too a good looking one.

When asked if Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 will be a proper sequel to its predecessor Bhool Bhulaiyaa, Anees Bazmee denies the claim. He says that this is a completely different story and apart from the title, they have just taken two songs from the original — the title song and the Bengali song. The rest of the film is completely original.

Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani under the banners of T-Series Films and Cine1 Studios respectively, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is scheduled to roll into theatres on 31st July, 2020.
