Ananya Panday Keen To Play Impactful Characters

Ananya Panday entered filmdom with Dharma Productions’ Student of the Year 2 (2019). Though the movie did not set the box-office on fire with its collections, debutante Ananya Panday did manage to garner a positive response for her electric performance in the college-caper.

Ever since making her debut with SOTY 2, Panday has been teaming up with established actors in movies. While her debut film had her opposite Tiger Shroff, Pati Patni Aur Woh (2019) featured her alongside Kartik Aaryan and Bhumi Pednekar.

Talking to a publication, Ananya Panday reveals that she does not think about her movies being multi-starrers or her screen time. She says that it does not matter to her as she is of the opinion that even if her role is merely 10 minutes long, it needs to leave an impact on audiences.

Giving an example of her actor father Chunky Panday, she says that he has sustained for such a long time because he has done different kind of roles, from playing the lead hero to playing a comedian, and now he is even doing a negative role. She says she wants to do all kinds of roles. It is a part and parcel of her job. So working is important.

Ananya Panday will next be seen in Khaali Peeli with Ishaan Khatter. The shoot of the Maqbool Khan directorial is on hold due to the Coronavirus pandemic. She also returns to Dharma Productions with Shakun Batra’s next. The untitled film also features Siddhant Chaturvedi and Deepika Padukone.

The newcomer is also making her Tollywood debut with a multilingual film opposite heartthrob Vijay Deverakonda. Dharma Productions is co-producing the venture in association with Jagannadh Puri and Charmy Kaur.
