Alia Bhatt Will Replace Priyanka Chopra To Be Opposite Kartik Aaryan In "Gangubai"?

Earlier, everyone was eager for the collaboration between Alia Bhatt and Salman Khan to strike a romance on the screen. Nonetheless, the news of their appearance together in Inshallah has been disapproved, leaving sadness on the pair's fans.

After the cancellation of Inshallah, Alia Bhatt is reported to star for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial Gangubai. But hotter than ever, the male lead role found its actor, that is Kartik Aaryan who plays in Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety.

Following a Mumbai Mirror report, someone caught Kartik outside Sanjay's office, which hints obviously that the director is giving an acting space for Kartik in the cast of Gangubai. The movie is partly based on the novel Mafia Queens of Mumbai by Hussain Zaidi but mainly points on the part of Gangubai Kothewali, the Kamathipura matriarch.

The Padmaavat director first supposed the female lead role to the global icon Priyanka Chopra but later some reports said that Alia Bhatt will stand in that position. Unless there is something changeable, all cinephiles would see the sweet and dreamy pairing of Alia Bhatt and Kartik Aaryan on the silver screen.

Apart from signing a possible deal with Gangubai, the 26-year-old actress is currently working for Sadak 2 directed by her father Mahesh Bhatt. The film also stars some other actors including Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt, and Pooja Bhatt. Other than that, she will appear alongside her sweet boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor as an onscreen couple for the first time in Brahamstra under Ayan Mukerji's direction.
