However, as per India Today, the post is revealed to be fake. In fact, the man in such pictures is a photojournalist named Mohammed al Azzawi from Iraq and he cried on the match of his country’s football team at the AFC Asian Cup tournament 2019.

The picture had been shared by Asian Cup’s official Twitter account in January 2019 and confirmed the cameraman an Iraqi photographer.

The fact is that he got emotional while his team went down to Qatar team 1-0 in the clash of 16. What’s more? Netizens also found out a more compelling photo shared by a Twitter user named Steven Nabi who is a TV correspondent at Alhurra News. The picture shows Azzawi sporting a jacket with an Iraqi flag.
