Neeraj Pandey To Helm A Web-Series On Global Terrorist Masood Azhar

According to reports, renowned filmmaker Neeraj Pandey is set to plunge into digital space. The hit filmmaker, whose last film Aiyaary (2018) turned out to be a dud, has locked the script for his digital debut. The work on the same is expected to begin soon.

Talking about the subject of the series, it will be based on global terrorist Masood Azhar. Interestingly, Pandey’s previous hit Baby (2015) featured a character who was inspired by the dreaded terrorist. But now, the filmmaker has set out to make an entire series on him and, in particular, his involvement in the 2001 Parliament attack.

Revealing some interesting details on the upcoming project, a trade source tells an Indian daily,

The source goes on to add that it was during the research of Chanakya that Neeraj Pandey decided to make a web-series on it rather than a film.

As per reports, talented actors Paresh Rawal and Jimmy Shergill have been cast to play significant characters in the yet-to-be-titled web-series. Actor Sajjad Delafrooz, who impressed everyone with his brilliant performance in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tiger Zinda Hai (2017), has also been roped in for a pivotal part. The web-series go on the floors by the weekend in Mumbai. More details on the casting as well as the title of the series are awaited. It is still unknown for which OTT platform Neeraj Pandey is making the series.
