Man Vs Wild: After PM Modi, Rajinikanth To Feature With Bear Grylls

It will be an interesting watch when superstar Rajinikanth will feature in National Geographic's Man Vs Wild episode. After Prime Minister Narendra Modi featured with Bear Grylls inside Jim Corbett National Park, it became a huge talking point on the internet. Many also criticized PM Modi for being the part of Man Vs Wild during the terror attack which martyred 40 jawans in Pulwama. This time, environment and animal activists are slamming the show makers for shooting inside a tiger reserve of Bandipur National park in Karnataka.

Rajinikanth is considered as a superstar of Indian cinema. His 43 years of cinema gained him a huge fan following in South India as well as around the world. A temple dedicated to Rajinikanth has been developed in Mumbai. Bandipur National park was declared as a tiger reserve under Project Tiger, it has a decent population of tigers alongwith Indian elephants, spotted deer, gaurs (bison), antelopes and numerous other native species.

According to sources, the permissions for shoot was taken by Banijay Group Seventaurrus Entertainment Studio Private Limited. The two day shooting was wrapped up on 29 January. The state government maintained the entire shoot under surveillance and was very tight lipped about the entire project. Rajinikanth appealed all Indians to join his war of conserving water through the episode. He also thanked Bear Grylls and termed his shoot as an unforgettable experience. It is also being rumoured that actor Akshay Kumar will also feature in the same show.

Activist Joseph Hoover demanded arrest of Rajinikanth for shooting inside a tiger reserve without taking precautions on forest fires. He said that due to dry conditions, forest fires can endanger life of animals inside the forest. He claimed that 4,000 hectares of the forest has been destroyed due to forest fires and the government should focus on protecting forests rather than promoting tourism. While,
