Kiku Sharda Claims Alia Bhatt Wasn’t Offended By His Jokes On "The Kapil Sharma Show"

Kiku Sharda has cleared the rumors surrounding Alia Bhatt’s appearance on "The Kapil Sharma Show". He said the actor was not offended by his jokes.

Comedian-actor Kiku Sharda has dismissed all reports that his jokes on The Kapil Sharma Show offended actress Alia Bhatt. He affirmed that it is not true and the 'Kalank' actress had a good time during the show.

In a statement to Pinkvilla, Kiku Sharda said,

Earlier, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur made an appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show to promote their forthcoming movie 'Kalank'. However, some reports by Times of India made the rounds that Alia Bhatt ‘was not happy with the jokes cracked on her’ in the show.

According to the reports, during the shoot, Kiku Sharda cracked some jokes on Alia Bhatt by asking her, ‘How does a scooter start?',  and then made noises like, ‘Bhatt, Bhatt, Bhatt, Bhatt…’. Another one which did not go well was when he made a joke on Alia’s father. He asked,

She replied, “No.” He kept saying,

Other videos from the episode have already been posted online on Alia’s fan pages. In one video, Kapil Sharma is seen asking the 26-year-old actress to recreate Mughal-e-Azam by using her Gully Boy persona. Additionally, the 'Kalank' stars also play an interesting game with the cycle tyres as well as burst into dance on the Kalank’s songs.

'Kalank' is helmed by director Abhishek Varman and also stars Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri Dixit. The film is all set to hit the cinema on 17th April.
